This unique pill box has wonderfully clear hallmarks showing that is was made by Samuel Boyce Landeck, a silversmith active in the mid to late 1800's in England. This particular item was made between 1868-1899. Embossed on the lid is a classic cherub, scattering flowers, and on the sides is a simple and lovely scrolling floral motif.
Today, this item could serve its original purpose, and it would tuck easily into a purse or tote to be used everyday. Alternatively, consider it for your favourite rings, as it would look spectacular on a dresser tray as part of your active collection!
